Lunch & Learn: Building Envelope Commissioning Program and Tour of ECS’s Soils and Concrete Labs

Program

Join representatives from ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC for a NAIOP Lunch & Learn on the value of Building Envelope Commissioning (BECx) for projects. Attendees will learn about Building Envelope Performance and the various stages of BECx in design, procurement, construction, and occupancy, and the value that the process can deliver.

Following the program, attendees are invited to join ECS for a tour of their Soils and Concrete Labs. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the common laboratory tests that often affect a development project's cost. We will hear the engineer's experience with these tests, including relevant case histories. During the concrete portion of the tour, attendees will learn about the process involved with strength testing, interpretation of test results, and acceptance criteria. ECS’s concrete lab is accredited by CCRL, WACEL, US Army Corps of Engineers and ACI.

For over 30 years, ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC has been a provider of geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, environmental consulting, and facilities engineering. ECS is equipped to help clients through the entire project cycle for both the private and public sectors.

Join NAIOP and Washington Gas for an educational program on the benefits and use of natural gas for residential and commercial properties. Our expert speakers will present an overview of commercial applications and residential uses in renovated and new developments that will include information on reliability and affordability of natural gas. They will discuss how incorporating or converting to this energy source may also create an upside for rental income, vacancy reduction and comfort of the occupants.

Washington Gas is the Washington Metro region’s service provider serving nearly 1.2 million customers in Virginia Shenandoah, Frederick, Warren, Clarke, Loudon, Fairfax and Prince William, the District of Columbia and in Maryland, the counties of Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George’s, Charles, Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties.
