With over 54 chapters in North America, the Northern Virginia Chapter is one of the largest with over 800 members. Nationally, NAIOP has over 15,000 members.

1. MEMBERS

   Of the fifty-four NAIOP chapters throughout America, Northern Virginia is one of the largest.  We currently have over 800 members from the most prestigious companies in the region.  Membership allows you to develop new business relationships, solidify deals, and share experiences with colleagues who are among the industry’s top professionals.  NAIOP offers numerous opportunities for members to get to know their fellow members and to build their businesses.

2. PROGRAMS

   NAIOP’s timely educational programs and seminars are designed to help you maximize your professional development and business opportunities.  You will find great opportunities to meet with your peers and network with the decision makers you need to know to build your business. Programs and seminars are presented on a variety of timely topics affecting the Northern Virginia real estate community.  Annual and Mid-Year forecasts keep you up-to-date on the real estate trends in the region and the nation.  In addition, we offer Development 101 an educational series for those who are new to the industry or interested in learning more about the development process.

3. BUS TOUR & TRADE SHOW

   Over 550 people attend our award winning Bus Tour each year which provides real estate professionals the latest information on what's happening in the Northern Virginia real estate market.  The trade show, held in conjunction with the Bus Tour, offers NAIOP members an opportunity to showcase their projects, products or services.

5. GOLF TOURNAMENTS

   Spring and fall golf tournaments provide an excellent opportunity for relationship building with clients or potential clients.  These two member-only events are always sellouts.

6. GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

   NAIOP monitors legislative and regulatory issues at the local and state levels and, through our National organization, at the federal level.  Our members have represented the development community’s interests on issues as diverse as Low Impact Development (LID), comprehensive plan changes, and increased transportation funding.

7. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

   In conjunction with organizations such as the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance (NVTA), Northern Virginia Economic Development Coalition (NVEDC) and Responsible Economic Growth in Our Region (REGION), NAIOP works to sustain and foster growth and quality of life in Northern Virginia.

8. COMMUNITY SERVICE

   Through organizations such as Youth for Tomorrow, Capital Area Food Bank, Life with Cancer, Goodwill Industries, Carpenter Shelter and The Susan G. Komen National Race for the Cure, NAIOP members are given an opportunity to give back to their community.

9. COMMITTEES

   Join a committee and help to influence the future direction of Northern Virginia NAIOP. We need your enthusiasm and your ideas. The commercial real estate is your industry and NAIOP is the association that looks out for your interests. If you want to protect this industry, participate.
